Lead Data Engineer

I’m currently recruiting for a lead data engineer based in Dublin. This is a 6-month contract role, focusing on hybrid working. Strong day rate available.

About the Role

• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver strategic data transformation programmes
• Design and implement cloud-based data platforms

Requirements

• Previous experience leading Data Engineering teams and delivering large-scale data projects.
• Technical experience with Databricks, Spark/PySpark, Python, SQL and AWS cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with modern data architecture, CI/CD, data governance, security and software development, best practices.

Desirable

• Experience with Databricks Lakehouse, Delta Lake and Medallion Architecture.
• Knowledge of enterprise data platforms, data mesh principles and metadata-driven data engineering frameworks
